mc sweeney’s comes out with what they are calling a newspaper prototype for the 21st century. large-paper format, with both journalistic and artistic integrity. nothing about the design is copyrighted, so newspapers can feel free to take hints. it remains to be seen if the printed word will make its big comeback, but this is definitely a nice plug.

had my eyes closed, floating on my back in the salty sea waves, and looked up to find a perfectly sunny day being engulfed by a large, moving grey cloud on the horizon. it cleared a beach full of bathers in no time, and about 20 minutes and millions of raindrops later, the footprints that had been left idle in the sand had disappeared, the sun returned and people flooded the waters again.
